Protesters Gather | News
In response to the school board meeting held at Wynne High School last Wednesday concerning the punishment of seven Wynne Junior Varsity football players, the Memphis based organization CORR (Commission On Religion and Racism) is scheduling a series of protests against Wynne High School, its administration and school board.
The first of the series of protests were held Tuesday, October 9.
Groups numbering from two to twenty protesters marched in front of Steve Jones Chrysler Dodge motor company from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The protesters carried signs and handed out flyers to passing motorists.
The event did little to interrupt school activity and no real disruptions were reported on campus.
