Patsy “Chunky” Sue Roach | Families
Patsy “Chunky” Sue Roach, a resident of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, departed this life, Friday, April 20, 2012, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of sixty-two. She was born, October 10, 1949, in Parkin, Arkansas, the daughter of James Fitzpatrick “Pat” and Louise (Carter) Sheppard. She married Mr. Danny Roach on October 21, 1997.
She was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Hughes, and worked as a CNA, caring for her mother. Patsy never met a stranger and was always friendly to everyone she met. She enjoyed her church, crocheting, visiting and aggravating her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Roach was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Joe Sheppard and Dewey Shepphard, two sisters: Jewell Kennedy and Ethel Wilson, and one grandson: Dakota Pendley.
Patsy is survived by her Husband of Fourteen years: Danny Roach of the home, Step Mother: Willie Shepphard of Parkin, Arkansas, one son: James Magee and wife Kim of Houston, Texas, one daughter: Laurie Pendley and husband Johnny of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, Five Sisters: Clara Favella of Santa Maria, California, Mary Whitlock of Parkin, Arkansas, Jean Russell of Parkin, Arkansas, Ruby McFarland of West Memphis, Arkansas, Jeanette Sheppard of Walls, Mississippi, Four Brothers: Bobby sides of Parkin, Arkansas, George Sides of Vanndale, Arkansas, Stan Sheppard of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Chester Sheppard of Ohio, 9 grandchildren, one great grandchild on the way. She was grandmother to many other children.
Funeral services will be at conducted at, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pendley Creek Cemetery in Cherry Valley, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held, Monday evening from 6 till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
