Helen Mae Dexter Bowers, 85, of Osceola, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Bowers was preceded in death by her parents, James Aaron Dexter and Bessie Izora Dugan Dexter; husband, Grover Bill Bowers, Sr.; son, Grover Bill Bowers, Jr.; brothers, James A. Dexter II, Donald Dexter; and sister, Mary I. Dexter McDaniel. Mrs. Bowers was born in Parkin, Arkansas on May 11, 1926. Helen worked in the Wynne Public School System as a Cafeteria Worker. She loved to crochet. Helen loved the Lord and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Osceola.

Survivors are her son, Bobby Lynn Bowers and wife Gail of Wynne; daughter, Mary Helen Bowers Groves and husband Tommy of Osceola; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Caffey Bowers of West Memphis; sisters, Daisy L. Dexter Ulatowski of Carlsbad, CA; Molly J. Dexter Mace of Huntington Beach, CA; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, April 6, 2012 at Kernodle Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11 AM at Kernodle Funeral Home with burial in Cogbill Cemetery, Wynne, Arkansas.
