Expo to offer free prostate screenings | Events

The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation (APCF) will host a free prostate cancer education and screening event at the HMG Health & Fitness Expo Saturday, April 21, at the ASU Convocation Center in Jonesboro.

Area men will receive free information about prostate cancer and services provided by APCF.  The organization will also provide free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests for men who 40 and older.

The event is co-sponsored by St. Bernards Medical Center.

According to the APCF, a man has a one in six chance of developing prostate cancer during his lifetime.  Early detection is key to increased survival.
