Every two minutes in the United States a man is diagnosed with prostate cancer, according to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation (APCF).
In Arkansas alone, approximately 2,000 men are diagnosed with the disease each year and more than 300 die from it.
Early detection is a key to survival.
On Tuesday, March 6, from 2:30 until 6 p.m. the APCF will host a free prostate cancer education and screening event at Trumann High School, 1260 W. Main.
The event will provide area men and their families an opportunity to gather information about prostate cancer and services provided by the APCF.
For more information about the event and to reserve your spot for the screening, contact Ami Henderson at (870) 483-3116.
