Deputies issue hundreds of tickets during crackdown | Crime
During the recent Click It or Ticket campaign, Cross County sheriff’s deputies issued hundreds of tickets for speeding and driving without a seat belt.
According to an email from Sheriff J.R. Smith, deputies issued 109 citations for seat belts and 117 for speeding.
Deputies also made one felony arrest during the 14-day campaign.
“Summer has officially begun and it’s important that everyone buckles up every time they go out, both day and night,” Sheriff Smith said. “No excuses.”
Smith assures everyone deputies are prepared to ticket anyone who is not wearing their seat belt.
