Parkin man accused of failing to register as sex offender | Crime
According to Arkansas state law, anyone who is convicted of certain sex offenses and offenses against children must register when they move to a new town.
Not doing so can result in the person being arrested on felony charges.
Timothy H. Burton is learning that lesson the hard way.
On Monday, April 1, Cross County sheriff’s deputies arrested the 24-year-old Parkin man for failing
to comply with reporting requirements as a sex offender, a Class C felony.
Burton is being held in the Cross County Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bond.
