Want to learn how to use QuickBooks, the small business accounting software?

The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) can help.

The center is offering a 4-night, hands-on "Introduction to QuickBooks" workshop on the first and second Tuesday and Thursday of May.

The sessions will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. at the ASU Technical center, 5504 Krueger Dr.

Participants will learn the basics of the popular computerized accounting program and receive hands-on experience.

On Tuesday, May 1, attendees will learn how to set up a new company, chart accounts, write checks and reconcile bank statements.

Sessions II and III on Thursday, May 3, and Tuesday, May 8, will detail issues with inventory, adjusting and reporting inventory, invoicing, as well as accounts payable and receivables.

Session IV on Thursday, May 10, will teach participants how to set up information for payroll.

Each session is designed to stand alone, but attendees are encouraged to attend all four to get the most out of the series.

Registration is $75 per session or $225 for all 4 nights.

Jonesboro Chamber, Downtown Jonesboro Association members and ASU faculty, staff and students pay $165 for all four nights.

To register or for more information contact the ASU SBTDC (870) 972-3517 or e-mail asusbtdc@astate.edu<mailto:asusbtdc@astate.edu> or register on line at http://asbtdc.ualr.edu/training.asp.
